ABOUT

As Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions’ (PBD) Director of Business Operations for the past four years, Tim is responsible for managing and maintaining all pharmacy business operations and applications to allow PBD to accurately adjudicate prescription claims against the pharmacy benefits of its members and provide accurate pharmacy information to all stakeholders.

With a strong attention to detail, Tim oversees the Systems team to implement and maintain the formulary and all Rx benefits, and the Reporting team to provide accurate and timely pharmacy data to stakeholders. As a member of PBD’s Leadership team, Tim also has the strategic responsibility for all implementation, configuration, and setup of the core application, reporting and workflows.

Tim and his wife of 12 years are the proud parents of Nicholas (9) and Kelsey (6). He and his family enjoy traveling and are Disney World annual pass holders and Disney Vacation Club members. The family enjoys spending so much time outdoors that Tim converted his backyard into “living” space, complete with kitchen, furniture, television and a commercial playground set for his children.

EXPERIENCE

Tim is accountable for all applicable PBM reporting activities with internal business partners and externally with downstream entities, vendors, employer groups and providers. He is responsible for leadership of internal staff related to pharmacy business operations, claim adjudication, reporting and pharmacy applications.

The scope of Tim’s responsibility includes all lines of business with particular emphasis on Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Self-Funded Pharmacy Benefits Management. Tim is the glue across the entire company, as there is not a project, RFP, customer service renewal or program implemented without Tim's unique viewpoint of understanding of operations, systems and financial models.

Tim has been part of the Independent Health family for 13 years, starting as a Pharmacy Systems Coordinator in 2007.

Prior to that, Tim worked for multiple community retail pharmacies as a pharmacy technician along with a local hospital network in their pharmacy department.

COMMUNITY WORK

Tim has served on the Lockport YMCA Board of Directors for almost 2 years. He is also very active with the Glut1 Deficiency Foundation. His sister-in-law was diagnosed with Glut1 Deficiency, a rare genetic condition that impairs brain metabolism, in 2006 when there were only about 100 known cases in the world. Tim, along with others he recruits, have actively fundraised for this cause externally. But he also raises awareness through Independent Health's (PBD's parent company) “Dress Down” fundraiser and other events.

“Seeing PBD grow from me being associate No. 8 to now over 130 associates over the past 13 years has been such an amazing experience. We would not be where we are today without the dedication and commitment of the amazing team that we have built.”

Fun Fact:
During college, Tim did an internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. He was a cast member there for a semester and worked at a restaurant in Magic Kingdom!
