ABOUT

As Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions’ (PBD) Manager of Account Management & Clinical Pharmacy, Aleem is a New York State licensed Pharmacist who is responsible for using his business acumen and clinical expertise to manage all PBD clients.

With a strong understanding of all aspects of pharmacy and business practices, Aleem leads and collaborates with the clinical pharmacy, account management and client support teams to develop and support clinical programs, account management strategy and other cross-functional initiatives. His team also supports PBD’s sales, marketing, and communication efforts by contributing to the RFP process, publishing the PBD Pulse, and coordinating member outreach for formulary changes.

A natural leader, Aleem helps his team develop strategies to build positive relationships with employers, brokers and consultants to maintain and grow membership in PBD’s portfolio of products and services while providing insight and helping clients manage cost effective plans.

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada, Aleem enjoys worldwide travel with his wife. The couple have been to Italy, Croatia, France and Mexico, and have visited friends all over the United States.

EXPERIENCE

Aleem’s unique approach in leadership and teamwork has helped him find success throughout his professional career as he identifies as a “Servant Leader” – someone who puts the needs of the team first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible.” He believes in collaboration and open communication as a major key to success in supporting his team to better serve our internal and external stakeholders.

Since joining PBD in 2018, Aleem has helped grow business and maintain the company’s high ethical standards. He has helped create policy and develop action plans for PBD’s clients, brokers and members. Aleem is accountable for performance, quality, satisfaction and financial goals for his team.

Prior to joining PBD, Aleem served as a staff pharmacist and special projects manager for Mobile Pharmacy Solutions – a full service, independently owned retail community pharmacy located in Buffalo. Additionally, he also served as supervising pharmacist for Urgent Care Pharmacy in Clarence, N.Y.

In addition to his vast experience in multiple roles within the industry, Aleem has an established history of leading and mentoring others. He has precepted over 200 student pharmacists over his career and was recognized by D’Youville School of Pharmacy as the Outpatient Preceptor of the Year in 2015.

COMMUNITY WORK

Aleem believes it takes a village to impact change and everyone needs to pitch in, help out and go after the issues we face together. Aleem and his family have a long history of both contributing to and working hand-in-hand with charities to raise awareness and funds for organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York and preparing meals at Ronald McDonald House.

Aleem’s family in Canada has raised over a million dollars for several organizations, including the World Partnership Walk and Gillian’s Place, in honor of his late brother.

Fun Fact:
One of Aleem’s first jobs growing up in Niagara Falls, Canada, was working on Clifton Hill selling knick-knacks to tourists on the sidewalk.
