PBD recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York for a 5th straight year

Buffalo, N.Y. – April 25, 2024 – Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions (PBD), an affiliate of Independent Health, has been selected as one of the top places of employment in the annual Best Companies to Work for in New York State awards program.

PBD ranked 14th among 27 finalists in the medium-size company category (100-249 employees). This is the 5th consecutive year PBD has been selected as one of the top places of employment in NYS.

The Best Companies to Work for in New York State survey and awards program identifies and honors the top places of employment in the state. The process is managed by Best Companies Group (BCG) and winners are published by New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM).

“PBD is honored to once again be one of the best companies to work for in New York State,” said Lynne Reilly, PBD president. “Our associates’ commitment to our mission and values makes PBD a great place to work every day. I am so proud of our hard-working and dedicated team.”

Reilly is a strong believer that the “human magic” of empowered and self-directed associates is a driving force of the company’s success.

“Our associate engagement is astoundingly strong and integral to building and maintaining the culture at PBD,” Reilly said. “Bringing people together and providing associates with life satisfaction, as opposed to just job satisfaction alone, is very important to us.”

Celebrating associates’ birthdays, work anniversaries, and personal and professional achievements, along with holding many social events like holiday luncheons, cookouts, and associate appreciation days, are all part of that crucial and valued  human element of PBD’s work environment.

“All of these social extracurriculars help form meaningful relationships and build a real sense of community among our teams, which leads to better collaboration,” Reilly added.

Employers from across New York took part in the program’s two-part process to determine the best companies. Part I, the employer completes an online survey, detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Part II, employees voluntarily complete a survey of in-depth statements using a scale of five points ranging from “Agree Strongly” to “Disagree Strongly.”
